This June, Namia River Retreat is proud to take part in Global Wellness Day (GWD) 2025, an international initiative dedicated to living well.Â

Taking place on Saturday, June 14, this year’s theme, #ReconnectMagenta, calls on individuals and communities to reconnect – with nature, with loved ones, and with their inner selves.

In celebration of this beautiful movement, Namia will host a Silent Mindful Walk on June 11, welcoming nearly 100 staff members and in-house guests to join in a collective moment of peace and awareness. The walk will gently wind through Namia’s riverside paths, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature and the warmth of quiet companionship.
Through this event, Namia invites everyone to:
– Reconnect with Mother Nature: Let the calm of the river, the rustle of leaves, and the birdsong guide your steps. Experience the healing stillness of Namia’s pristine natural surroundings.
– Reconnect with Self: With each mindful step, tune in to your inner voice. The silence offers space for clarity, self-reflection, and balance.
– Reconnect with Family & Friends: Sharing moments of stillness outdoors fosters connection that words often cannot.
– Reconnect with Community: This event is part of our ongoing effort to nurture a culture of mindfulness, compassion, and shared growth among both guests and team members.
– Bringing Peace to Every Step: This mindful walk also echoes the spirit of Peace is Every Step – a book by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh that is thoughtfully displayed at Namia reminding us that each breath and each step, taken with awareness, can bring us home to the present moment and cultivate peace within and around us.
